Nirvana Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 15, 2026
Nirvana is a moon, astrology and crystal app made by Stelloryn LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app uses, where it is stored and the choices you have. It applies to the Nirvana app for iPhone and its widgets.
Information stored only on your device
To personalize Nirvana, the app stores the following on your iPhone. It is never sent to us or to any server.
| Information | Why the app uses it |
|---|---|
| First name (optional) | To greet you on the Today page |
| Birthday | To work out your sun sign for readings and crystal suggestions |
| Moon and rising sign (optional) | To add detail to your readings |
| Moon journal entries (intentions, reflections, check-ins) | So you can write and look back on your journal |
| Energy check-ins | To show how your energy changes with the moon |
| Saved and owned crystals | To build your collection and suggest a crystal of the day |
| Reminder settings | To schedule your notifications |
| App preferences | To remember choices such as which intention you've already seen today |
Your journal and energy check-ins are stored in protected files that iOS keeps unreadable while your iPhone is locked.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect any personal information from the app. In particular, Nirvana does not:
- Ask you to create an account or sign in
- Use advertising, ad networks or ad tracking
- Use analytics or crash-reporting tools that send data about you to us or third parties
- Access your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or health data
- Sell, rent or share personal information with anyone
Because we never receive your personal information, we cannot see, read or recover your journal, birthday or other details.
Content downloads and service providers
Nirvana downloads shared content, such as daily intentions, crystal descriptions and moon and sky event dates. This content is the same for everyone and contains nothing about you.
We use Cloudflare and Supabase to host this content. When the app checks for new content (usually no more than once a day), your iPhone connects to their servers. Like any internet service, those servers receive your device's IP address and basic connection details in order to send the content back. We do not use this information to identify you, and the app sends no personal information with these requests. These providers process this data under their own privacy policies.
Apple also provides the services Nirvana runs on, including the App Store, notifications and widgets, under Apple's privacy policy.
Purchases and subscriptions
Nirvana+ subscriptions are sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment details; we never see or store your card or billing information.
The app checks with Apple, on your device, whether you have an active subscription so it can unlock Nirvana+ features. We receive anonymous sales reports from Apple, but not your name, email or payment details. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple Account, and use Restore Purchases in the app to restore it on a new device.
Notifications and widgets
Reminders (your daily intention, moon and eclipse alerts and crystal-cleansing reminders) are scheduled on your iPhone. They are not sent from our servers, and you can turn them off in the app or in iPhone Settings at any time.
Nirvana's Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read information from the app on the same device, such as today's moon phase, intention and your sun sign. This information stays on your iPhone.
Backups and deleting your data
Your information stays on your iPhone until you delete it. If you use iCloud Backup or back up your iPhone to a computer, your Nirvana data may be included in that backup, which Apple or your computer stores according to your settings.
You can delete your information at any time:
- Personal details: in Nirvana, go to Profile → Privacy → Delete my personal details (name, birthday and signs).
- Journal: Profile → Privacy → Delete my moon journal.
- Everything: delete the Nirvana app from your iPhone. This removes all data the app stored on the device.
Because we don't hold copies of your personal information, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children's privacy
Nirvana is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Any details entered in the app stay on the device where they were entered.
Your rights and security
Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU and UK GDPR and California's CCPA give you rights to access, correct or delete personal information a company holds about you. Since we don't collect or hold personal information, you can exercise these rights directly in the app using the delete options above. If you have a question about your data, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Your personal information is protected by your iPhone's built-in security, including your passcode and iOS data protection. Content downloads use encrypted HTTPS connections.
Nirvana is operated from the United States. Content is served from servers that may be located in the United States or other countries.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Nirvana handles information, we will update this policy and its effective date. If a change is significant, such as adding accounts or cloud sync, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
